Helitech is seeking a Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of our construction fleet and equipment. This role is responsible for diagnosing issues, completing repairs, and ensuring our equipment remains safe and operational for field crews. Pay
  • $28.00–$33.00 per hour (based on experience)
Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment including oil changes, filters and inspections
  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules based on mileage, hours or manufacturer recommendation
  • Identify potential issues early to reduce breakdowns and costly repairs
  • Complete repairs on gas and diesel trucks, bumper-pull trailers, light and medium duty bobcat equipment
  • Maintain small engine items (concrete mixers, generators, similar equipment)
  • Conduct off‑site repairs when needed, including in wet or muddy jobsite conditions
  • Perform welding and basic fabrication tasks as needed
  • Maintain basic parts inventory (filters, belts, bulbs, etc.)
  • Keep shop, tools, and work areas organized and safe
  • Ensure equipment is safe and road‑ready
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant mechanical experience
  • Experience working on trucks, trailers and construction equipment
  • Proven mechanical troubleshooting ability
  • Must provide a standard set of mechanic hand tools required for routine maintenance and repairs (tool allowance or reimbursement negotiable)
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, teach, and adapt in a growing company environment
  • Standing, bending, kneeling, ability to lift 50+ lbs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hydraulic system experience or knowledge (cylinders, pumps, components)
  • Knowledge of DOT vehicle requirements
  • Familiarity with digital work orders or vehicle maintenance software (Samsara, Fullbay, Fleetio, All Data)
