Position:  Hip Hop and/or Cheerleading Coach for Non-Profit After School Program
Fit Kids America is a non-profit organization and our mission is MAKING FITNESS FUN! We aim to positively impact children's lives and get them active from a young age to increase confidence, teach team dynamics, encourage sportsmanship, and do our part to prevent childhood obesity.

We are looking for dynamic Hip Hop Dance and/or Cheerleading Coaches who have a passion for working with and teaching kids!

This position requires commitment to your classes and helping children learn the basics of Hip Hop and Cheerleading.

Must be reliable, responsible, punctual, able to work independently or in a team setting, and most of all always be focused on the best interest of your students and making sure they are safe and having fun.

This part-time job allows flexibility! You can choose to work 5 days a week or 1, just let us know your availability.

• Choose the schedule that works for you.

• 1 hour long class begin between 12:30 pm-3:00 pm. Classes held weekdays only.

(NOTE:Generally it is only possible to work one class a day due to school dismissal times. Consider if this is enough hours for you.)

• Held on elementary school campuses throughout the Chula Vista Elementary School District.

• Class time is 1 hour plus 15 minutes before and after for set up and student dismissal/pick up. So each class will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

• Coaches must be able to teach basics of the game and interact with elementary school kids. Fit Kids America will provide all equipment, give training, and a coaching manual to help plan your classes successfully.

• Experience coaching and/or working with kids is a PLUS!

• Starting pay: $25 per class.

First classes in Chula Vista begin: 8/5/19

Training for Chula Vista Coaches: 7/27/19

Interviews for Chula Vista Positions: 7/15-7/23/19

Position Requirements
High School,   1 to 2 Years work experience
-Hip Hop and/or Cheerleading experience is required.
-Must be comfortable teaching a large group of 5-12 the basics of Hip Hop and Cheer.
-Need to communicate effectively with students, parents, other FKA coaches, FKA managers, and school site staff.
-Need to be reliable and punctual. The students safety is contingent on your being present and engaged.
-If selected candidates will be required to get a background check, CPR certification, and a TB test.
Required Language Skills:
  • English - Very good
