Job SummaryThe Lead HVAC Technician assists in daily operations of the HVAC System and maintains the dry and wet fire systems. This position requires extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season, and on‑call duty for emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements- Education
:
High School Diploma, completion of a plumbing program through an accredited school - Experience
:
Two to three years in a large‑scale public building, preferably outdoors - Skills
:
Knowledge of plumbing codes, methods, tools, and equipment

Plumbing License - Experience
:
Five to eight years in a large‑scale public building, preferably outdoors; OSHA 10‑hour Training or ability to complete training - Skills
:
Knowledge of plumbing codes and mechanics, ability to interpret technical, oral, and written instructions, read blueprints, collaborate on group projects, and maintain accurate records
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform plumbing repair and installation including unclogging toilets, sinks, and sewer lines (25%)
- Perform maintenance checks on pipes, drains, plumbing fixtures, restroom fixtures, and partitions (25%)
- Operate and utilize hand tools such as wrenches, sewer machines, drills, torches, electric hammers, and jetters (25%)
- Use and record preventative maintenance steps in the CMMS program (10%)
- Perform other general maintenance duties as assigned (10%)
- Respond to off‑hour emergency calls (5%)
This position reports directly to the Director of Maintenance.
Physical Requirements- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 75 lb occasionally
- Work primarily in outdoor settings
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 50 lb on a regular basis
- Use of standard office equipment (Microsoft Office)
- Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock, vibration; noise level may range from quiet to loud
- Willingness to work long hours and a variable schedule including weekends and holidays, especially during the baseball season
