Anticipated Custodial Maintenance Position - FLOATER position; reopened

Overview

Custodial Maintenance floater position serving all buildings in West Jefferson Hills School District. Shift 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Hourly pay $22.71 for first 90 working days; $22.96 thereafter.

• Medical, dental, vision after 90 calendar days.
• One week paid vacation after one year.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Two years custodial and maintenance experience (preferred).
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical (preferred).
• Valid PA driver’s license with endorsements as needed.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and ability to read blueprints.
• Strong oral and written communication and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Reports to Facilities Director or Manager/Building Principal.

• Perform cleaning, janitorial, and custodial tasks across district buildings.
• Maintain and operate heating, ventilation, electrical, and security systems.
• Execute minor and major maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs.
• Operate district vehicles and equipment safely.
• Respond promptly to safety, sanitary, and fire hazards.
• Follow safety rules, procedures, and use appropriate safety equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Assist with setup/teardown of events and visitor reception as needed.

• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling 50 pounds.
• Continuous kneeling, crouching, bending and reaching to retrieve supplies.
• Moving fingers and hands repeatedly for cleaning.
• Speaking clearly and distinctly in communication.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions.
• Adequate vision required to perform duties.
