We are seeking a Senior Scientist I, Regulatory Affairs to join our Regulatory Affairs team at our Clark, New Jersey Research facility. In this role, you will be a pivotal force in ensuring that our Hair care innovations reach consumers safely, compliantly, and confidently - navigating the complex global regulatory landscape so our scientists and product developers can focus on what they do best: pioneering the future of beauty.

You sit at the intersection of science and strategy. You are part guardian, part advisor, and part visionary - translating the ever-evolving world of global regulations into clear, actionable guidance that keeps L'Oréal ahead of the curve and our consumers protected.

A Day in the Life:
As a Senior Scientist I, Regulatory Affairs, you will:

* Be the regulatory compass for our formulation product development teams - reviewing formulations end-to-end to ensure full compliance with global regulatory standards and proactively flagging potential issues before they become roadblocks.

* Partner closely with our labs and R&I scientists, providing expert, real-time regulatory guidance that empowers them to innovate boldly while staying within compliance boundaries.

* Lead the preparation and critical review of regulatory compliance documentation, ensuring every submission is accurate, complete, and reflective of our commitment to consumer safety and product integrity.

* Serve as a trusted subject matter expert, fielding inquiries from internal stakeholders on ingredients, formulations, and regulatory requirements - translating complexity into clarity for audiences at every level.

* Manage and prioritize regional regulatory projects, collaborating across countries and cross-functional teams to align timelines, resolve compliance challenges, and drive decisions that keep product launches on track.

* Act as L'Oréal's regulatory intelligence antenna - continuously monitoring the global regulatory environment, assessing the business impact of emerging regulations, and leading the organization's strategic response to change.

* Champion regulatory reporting and registration requirements across markets, ensuring our portfolio is always registration-ready and compliant across every geography we operate in.

We Are Looking For:
You're a great match for this role if you are a detail-oriented, science-driven professional who thrives at the intersection of regulation, innovation, and collaboration - eager to protect consumers while enabling breakthrough beauty.

* Education:

A completed Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemistry, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or advanced certification in Regulatory Affairs (e.g., RAC) is a plus.

* Experience:

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs, product safety, or a compliance-focused role within the cosmetics, personal care, or chemical industry is required.
