The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) role is integral to the success of Tri State Health; participating in the onboarding and orientation of new staff, providing training and continuing education, updating policies and procedures, and working with hospital leadership to develop and meet strategic organizational goals. Duties include evaluation of evidence that supports clinical practice, implementing changes in the delivery of safe patient care, ensuring staff competency, and prioritizing organizational education needs.
In addition to sharing Clinical Educator Generalist duties, this role is responsible for overseeing and teaching critical care and other specialties components of the education program.
Education and Training:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
Licensures/
Certifications:
- Current Washington State RN license.
- Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years nursing experience in an acute care setting, required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Personal attributes: ownership of actions, organized, open-minded, effective communicator, and ability to adapt.
- Skills:
strong basic nursing and ability to coach and guide staff striving towards excellence in patient care. - Other skills: electronic medical record documentation, Word and Excel experience.
