Job Description Summary

In this hands on quality role, the Receiving Inspector is responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections on incoming electrical components and materials, verifying quality documentation, and maintaining accurate traceability records. The role supports Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams by ensuring only conforming material enters production or repair processes.

This position is well suited for candidates with a quality or inspection background who can follow defined procedures, interpret technical information, and work effectively in a controlled manufacturing environment.

Working at our Clearwater Location

The Clearwater facility specializes in engineering, circuit card assembly, OEM Avionics, and MRO services, supporting Boeing and military aircraft. The role will involve inspecting components for aircraft such as Boeing 737 and 787 and military jets.

Key Responsibilities Required Core Duties
  • Perform incoming inspections on electrical components and materials to identify damage, defects, or non-conformances.
  • Verify and review quality documentation, including Certificates of Conformance (COC), Certificates of Analysis (COA), and First Article Inspection (FAI) packages.
  • Accurately document inspection results in the Quality Management System in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Maintain material traceability by assigning serial numbers, scanning documents, and managing inspection records.
  • Safely handle and move materials up to 20 pounds, following ESD and safety requirements.
  • Communicate inspection issues clearly to Quality and Receiving leadership for resolution.
Trainable / On-the-Job Responsibilities
  • Initiate and support material discrepancy resolution, including Return Material Authorizations (RMAs), under Quality guidance.
  • Use internal systems such as TIPQA, Oracle (ERP), and document management tools to support inspection and receiving activities.
  • Participate in cycle counts or inventory verification activities as needed to support receiving accuracy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Sourcing, and Fulfillment teams when discrepancies arise.
  • Complete required internal and industry training, including J-STD certification within 30 days of employment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age 18 years by date of joining due to high-risk operations.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Prior experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, assembly, or receiving environments.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain J-STD certification within 30 days.
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and system navigation.
Preferred Skills
  • 3-5 years of inspection or related industry experience.
  • IPC-A-610 knowledge (Class 3 preferred).
  • Previous exposure to TIPQA or similar Quality systems.
  • Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems.
  • Experience with Windchill, Webdocs, Proficy, or Smartsheet.
  • Soldering experience or electronics assembly background.
  • Experience working in regulated or high-reliability environments such as aerospace, defense, electronics.
