Senior Project Manager / Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Project Manager oversees the planning, design, and execution of new construction and renovation projects with a primary focus on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and building controls, while supporting other assigned projects as needed. This role ensures projects comply with University, State, and Federal standards, applicable codes and regulations, and industry best practices, delivering high‑quality outcomes on schedule and within budget.

• Project Management (45%) – Manages full lifecycle of construction projects ranging from $10K to $75M, leads mechanical design and construction efforts, develops project scope, evaluates feasibility, supports delivery methods, ensures system reliability, identifies and mitigates risks, ensures compliance, and collaborates with safety and commissioning teams.
• Financial and Schedule Control (25%) – Maintains financial and schedule control, develops budgets, coordinates internal and external teams, prepares cost estimates and schedules, administers contract requirements and bid reviews.
• Coordination and Consultation (25%) – Serves as primary liaison, leads coordination meetings, prepares status updates, coordinates with campus departments, engages utility providers, reviews designs, oversees inspections, testing, commissioning, and supports energy‑efficient solutions.
• Training & Mentorship (5%) – Provides guidance and support, engages in industry training, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's Degree and relevant project management experience.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of related work experience.

• Comprehensive knowledge of theories and practices applicable to complex or unprecedented situations.
• No supervisory duties.
• No budgetary responsibilities.

Anticipated salary range: $57,700.00 – $90,000.00
