Capstone Search Advisors has partnered with a local manufacturer who is looking to add a Process Engineer to their team.
The Process Engineer leads and supports capital projects involving new equipment installations, process improvements, and facility upgrades. This role ensures manufacturing systems—especially mixing and batching—meet new product requirements, operational efficiency goals, and safety standards. The position manages projects from concept through commissioning, including equipment selection, contractor coordination, installation, and process validation.
Key Responsibilities Capital Project Management- Lead Cap Ex projects from feasibility and budgeting through execution and startup
- Develop scopes, timelines, cost estimates, and ROI analyses
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (Operations, R&D, Quality, Maintenance, Safety)
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards
- Specify, evaluate, and procure process equipment for new products and capacity expansion
- Lead vendor reviews, RFQs, FAT, and technical approvals
- Align mixing and batching systems with product requirements (viscosity, shear, temperature, compatibility)
- Optimize batch cycle times, throughput, and process consistency
- Oversee installation, contractor activities, utilities, and startup
- Manage commissioning and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ as applicable)
- Develop SOPs, documentation, and operator training materials
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
- Proven Cap Ex and equipment installation project experience
- Mixing, batching, or fluid processing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of process design, scaling, and equipment selection
- Proficiency with P&IDs, PFDs, and layout drawings
- Familiarity with pumps, mixers, tanks, heat transfer, and control systems
- Understanding of project management and cost control principles
- ERP and procurement system experience preferred
