Your role

As a Full Stack Engineer for Neo within Capgemini, you will help build the next generation of Neo, the Group-wide AI platform connecting employees with tools, enterprise knowledge, data and intelligent workflows. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can work across frontend, backend and AI-enabled product flows, while contributing to fast iteration, technical quality and scalable implementation.

You will build user-facing AI experiences, backend services and middleware components that connect Neo's frontend with AI/LLM backends, routing services, data sources and enterprise integrations. The role requires strong skills in React, JavaScript/Type Script, Python, API development, cloud-native engineering and AI-ready application patterns.

In this role you will play a key role in:

* Build highly interactive and scalable frontend experiences using React or comparable frameworks, with strong focus on performance, usability and maintainability.

* Develop backend services and APIs using JavaScript/Type Script, Node.js and frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS.

* Develop Python-based AI/LLM components, automation scripts, data-processing logic and integration services where required.

* Build middleware capabilities that connect the frontend with AI backends, including session management, prompt handling, permissions logic, routing flags and data workflows.

* Support AI product flows such as conversational interfaces, prompt libraries, file upload flows, RAG-based answers, structured responses, citations and feedback mechanisms.

* Integrate with enterprise services, third-party SaaS platforms, connectors, agents and task automation flows.

* Work with cloud services, preferably GCP, to support scalable, observable and production-ready deployments.

* Write clean, testable and maintainable code with proper unit, integration and end-to-end test coverage.

* Collaborate closely with Product, UX/UI, Engineering Leads, Data Science, Backend, Routing Layer and QA teams to deliver high-quality features.

* Prototype, test and iterate quickly in ambiguous areas where AI behavior, user needs and technical feasibility need to be shaped together.

Your Profile

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

* Strong hands-on full-stack development experience across frontend, backend and API-driven products.

* Strong frontend experience with React, including component-based development, state management, rendering performance and API integration.

* Experience with modern frontend tooling such as Tailwind CSS, Jest, Cypress, Nx, Module Federation or comparable technologies.

* Strong backend experience with JavaScript/Type Script, Node.js and frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS.

* Strong Python skills, ideally applied in AI/LLM/ML contexts such as data processing, orchestration, model integration, RAG pipelines, evaluation scripts or backend AI services.

* Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, middleware, authentication, authorization, RBAC and secure enterprise integration.

* Understanding of AI application patterns, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector search, tool calling and conversational interfaces.

* Experience with GCP or other cloud platforms, CI/CD, Git workflows, Docker and production deployment practices.

* Ability to debug complex issues across UI, backend services, cloud infrastructure, data flows and AI model behavior.

* Product mindset with the ability to build fast, test assumptions and iterate based on user feedback.

Bonus:

* Experience with Lang Chain, Lang Graph, FastAPI, Flask, Vertex AI, Big Query, Firestore or Apigee.
