A well-established engineering consulting firm in North New Jersey is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer to join its growing transportation team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on impactful roadway, highway, and infrastructure projects throughout the region while advancing your career in a collaborative environment. 🌟
Responsibilities- Design roadway and highway projects including alignments, profiles, grading, and drainage
- Prepare construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Perform traffic and safety analyses to support design decisions
- Coordinate with project managers, municipalities, and state agencies
- Ensure compliance with local, county, and state standards
- Support permitting and utility coordination efforts
- Assist with construction support services as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field 🎓
- 3+ years of transportation or roadway design experience
- EIT required; PE preferred (or on track)
- Proficiency in Micro Station and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with roadway design standards and DOT guidelines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
