Junior Buyer; Chinese Speaking Licensed Merchandise

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Buyer for a Licensed Merchandising company that creates, sources, and supplies licensed items for cinema, home entertainment, music, interactive gaming titles, and corporate gifting. The role is critical, overseeing many parts of the purchasing process, its management, and working closely with all levels of the team, suppliers and clients.

• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese.
• IT savvy, with a strong understanding of Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, and the ability to establish relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Team worker with exceptional organisational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Business‑savvy.
• Prior product buying or merchandising/procurement expertise desirable.
• Strong interest in consumer/promotional items, quality control and ethical sourcing from the UK, EU and Far‑East vendors.
• Thorough grasp of testing procedures, particularly for toys.
• Education:
  
  graduate or higher.
• Must have a vehicle to get to work.
