CPE TRADE Training Specialist

Overview

The Defense Sector at Leidos is hiring a CPE TRADE Training Specialist at Fort Hood, TX.

The Training Specialist will apply lesson plans to both formal classroom and informal learning environments. They will adapt techniques to meet all student needs, use a range of assessment methods to gauge participant learning and training effectiveness, provide coaching and constructive feedback, review participant products, and facilitate engaging activities. Additionally, they will evaluate and revise learning content based on observations, coordinate and report on training progress, assist with customer communications, and support project planning, task prioritization, team coordination, meetings, and stakeholder updates.

The instructor will collaborate with developers, designers, and subject‑matter experts to create products that incorporate sound adult learning principles, meet customer requirements, and are engaging and accessible.

• Become familiar with and maintain familiarity with a dynamic customer curriculum.
• Develop subject‑matter expertise, communicate with diverse groups, create tailored learning content, mentor students, and deliver effective instruction.
• Assist program teams with project integration support, potentially developing new course content, delivering training, facilitating multi‑day exercises, mentoring students, and providing feedback and improvement suggestions to customer management.
• Use own expertise in product development and alignment with curriculum teaching points, as the Senior Instructor.
• Review student progress and provide positive and constructive feedback to the students.
• Lead instructional modules and help coordinate and run an exercise, and they may be asked to.
• Build or revise curriculum.
• Travel CONUS and OCONUS.
• Work collaboratively with teaching teams, other reviewers, and the overall program team to meet customers’ missions.

• Bachelor's degree and 4 or more years of experience, or Master's degree and 6 or more years of experience. Four additional years of directly related experience can offset the degree requirement.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• In‑depth knowledge of and experience with US Army virtual training solutions and capabilities.
• Demonstrated knowledge and at least three (3) years of direct substantial experience in delivering and applying custom curriculum.
• Capability to use instructional techniques and student assessment and course evaluation methods for feedback and improvement.
• Experience in teaching, mentoring, and course and training facilitation and delivery.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback on applied skills against established standards and guidelines.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Experience providing project integration support, including identifying, scheduling, prioritizing, communicating tasks; coordinating team efforts; assigning resources; and keeping stakeholders updated.
• Interest in learning new tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance and improve training delivery and quality.
