Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience teaching in a special education setting preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging, effective lesson plans tailored to individual students
• Maintain accurate records for IEPs and student progress
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Utilize a variety of instructional methods to reach learners at different levels
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere
• Provide direct instruction, interventions, and support as described in student IEPs
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and on-going training sessions
