Position Overview
Senior RF Mechanical Engineer – Columbia, MD (Onsite)
Security clearance requirement: U.S. citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance are required. Experience with the procurement of clearance is mandatory.
Responsibilities- Serve as a technical resource to the organization.
- Collaborate in a multi‑discipline team setting to solve complex engineering problems.
- Create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for RF and photonic product designs.
- Develop prototype hardware designs and coordinate fabrication.
- Perform hands‑on integration and test support for prototype hardware.
- Hold design and drawing reviews with peers and subject‑matter experts.
- Support lab operations by designing, fabricating, and troubleshooting test fixturing and equipment.
- Manage supplier relationships for built‑to‑print or built‑to‑specification RF and photonic products.
You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years in mechanical design.
- Proficiency with solid modeling tools such as CREO.
- Experience in rapid prototyping and hardware integration.

- Experience working with optical fiber splicers.
- Experience potting RF or photonic systems.
- Experience creating engineering drawings.
- Experience fabricating prototype designs.
- Experience working collaboratively in a multi‑discipline team.
- Experience supporting lab operations.
- Self‑motivated problem solver with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Salary range: USD 95,500 – 181,700, based on experience.
