Position Summary : Responsible for developing and executing marketing activities and business growth strategies to sustain and grow the US Core business platform which includes Anesthesia, Patient Monitoring, and EMS business segments. This role interacts with other product managers and marketing team members related to the Core business and reports directly to the Marketing Director, Core and is well suited for a self-directed and energetic leader with experience in healthcare, preferably in medical devices.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop product and marketing strategies for disposable medical devices sold to hospitals, surgery centers and clinics
  • Continuously monitor product area progress and provide monthly business analysis and reviews
  • Support direct and inside sales teams with day-to-day needs and requests related to marketing collateral and coordination with other business areas
  • Co-analyze and develop optimal market positioning and pricing
  • Support segmenting, targeting, messaging, and positioning
  • Co-develop market communication plan for product areas to ensure product and marketing messaging throughout all communication platforms
  • Manage brand to ensure brand consistency in product design and marketing communications including trade shows
  • Co-develop education and training programs for end users/customers
  • Co-develop education and training material for sales force
  • Co-develop sales literature, sales tools, and content
  • Collect, analyze, and make recommendations based upon quantitative and qualitative data for market research, competitive analysis, investment business cases, product launch planning, product positioning and pricing strategies
  • Provide product training and technical support to sales team and customers
  • Provide sales support in select cases where regional sales managers are not able to
  • Co-develop clinical advisors and KOL (key opinion leader) relationships where appropriate
  • Conceptualize and implement marketing collateral for sales activities, sales force training, end user training, and GPO/IDN contracting activities
  • Travel (30%+ of time) related to tradeshows, conferences, and customer visits in conjunction with local representatives
  • Communication responsibilities:

  • Monthly presentation business status at monthly marketing meetings or quarterly business reviews
  • Monthly key activity report (Product line sales/profit update, key marketing activities)
  • Ad hoc communication and collaboration across departments and regions of important information to relevant personnel
  • Interfaces with:

  • VP Marketing: Decisions of strategic importance as part of monthly activity report, goals, activity, strategic issues/opportunities, market trends
  • VP Sales: Sharing of ideas, strategic issues/opportunities, dealer, and customer related issues
  • VP Sales Operations: Communication on sales focus, effectiveness of marketing strategies, pricing policies etc.
  • QA/Operations dept: Product and Delivery issues
  • Customer Service: Product Related Issues
  • Supply chain: Input to inventory forecast
  • Corporate Marketing and European stakeholders
  • QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and product management in medical device or pharma industries
  • Experience in neurology, cardiology, or anesthesia market segments is highly preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Expertise with Microsoft office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to manage large workflow and multiple projects at one time
  • Effectively build and maintain relationships with peers and colleagues across organizational levels and with the executive team
  • Experience with design, evaluation, validation of marketing strategies and programs
  • Strong ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems for business strategy
