General Statement of Job

Under limited supervision, serves as project leader in the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Manages, monitors and provides support to personnel operating application software and the ERP system. Reports to the Executive Director of Information Technology.

Minimum Requirements

Requires an Associates in Computer Programming. A minimum of three to five years experience in computer system analysis and supporting management information systems in a school-district environment, MS Office Suite, MS Project, Oracle, ASP, .NET, javascript, MS SQL Server 2000-2008, SQL Server Reporting Services, and workflow processing.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Anticipates and analyzes the requirements of operating personnel with regard to current application systems and new systems development.

Meets with District administrative staff and other operating personnel to address information system needs and concerns.

Resolves procedural and programming problems to ensure the production of the desired end product in the most efficient manner possible.

Reviews computer systems and suggests changes to simplify or enhance the systems.

Manages the overall security of the ERP system.

Provides administrative program support; ensures the provision of quality customer service by department personnel.

Offers technical advice and assistance to programming staff.

Operates and maintains personal computers, printers, various peripheral equipment, calculator, telephone, copier, fax machine, etc.

Receives, reviews, prepares and /or submits various records and reports including user notes, software requests, software alerts, flow charts, user instructions, computer reports, memos, correspondence, etc.

Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals such as the immediate supervisor, co-workers, subordinates, and District administrators and staff, school principals and staff, consultants, vendors, professional peers, etc.

Works collaboratively with district staff and departments in completing mandatory reports, filing and projects which may require technical expertise.

Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns and requests for assistance related to information systems.

Writes computer programs to meet the application needs of operating personnel.

Additional Duties:

Conducts and/or attends meetings as required.

Performs related duties as required.
