Accounting Specialist

Our client—a respected organization based out of Columbus—is looking for a proactive Accounting Specialist to join their finance team. This position offers a nice mix of both accounts payable and accounts receivable duties. This is a contract to hire opportunity offering long-term stability and the chance to make a real impact in day-to-day operations.

• Apply customer payments and monitor account balances to ensure accuracy
• Contribute to month-end close by supporting reconciliations and financial reporting
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues
• Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and related transactions
• Assist with audit preparation and maintain organized financial documentation

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable, or financial operations
• Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Excellent communication skills for working across teams and with external partners
• Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a structured, fast-paced environment
