Position Overview

Columbus Early Learning Centers is seeking a dedicated early childhood professional to serve as Center Director, working under the guidance of the Chief Program Officer and the Executive Team to oversee daily operations of the center while ensuring the educational development, safety, and welfare of enrolled children, their families, and center staff.

• Oversee the daily operations of the center, demonstrating exceptional professional conduct and consideration for the educational development, safety, and welfare of enrolled children.
• Provide appropriate coaching and support to team members to ensure successful implementation of all state regulations and CELC policies and procedures.
• Maintain excellent organizational skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines and follow directions in a busy early learning center.

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field OR Career Pathway Level 4 or higher in Ohio Professional Registry
• Must have at least three years' experience administering a highly rated childcare center, preferred.
• Thorough understanding of ODJFS Child Care Licensing Rules and Step Up To Quality Guidelines.
• Experience using The Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold in an early childhood setting.
• Experience with Publicly Funded Child Care, Early Head Start, and Head Start program standards is preferred.
• Experience with the Ohio Department of Education's Early Childhood Expansion Grant and Early Start Columbus is preferred.
