Sr Consultant, Applied Technologist - Emerging Capabilities

Hybrid – Columbus, OH office. This role will specifically support the Glean product.

As the Sr. Consultant, Applied Technologist – Emerging Capabilities, you will execute experiments and research that provide actionable insights into emerging technologies such as AI, Immersive Experiences (XR/AR/VR), and Quantum Computing. You will act as a liaison, leveraging agile best practices and a deep understanding of both business and technical complexity to enable scalable capabilities.

• Advise senior stakeholders on developing and enhancing enterprise capabilities by introducing best practices, tools and technologies to support data‑driven decision making and continuous experimentation at scale.
• Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to identify key challenges, opportunities and goals, ensuring technology strategies align with overall business objectives.
• Lead the design, execution and management of experiments that test new concepts, technologies, and applications of AI, Immersive Experiences, Quantum Computing, and other emerging capabilities.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment, and communicate complex experimental findings.
• Establish best practices and frameworks to ensure consistency, quality and scalability across business units; provide guidance and mentoring to cross‑functional teams on the use of technology to solve business challenges.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of each experiment, capturing key insights, methodologies, and best practices to form the foundation for future initiatives and serve as a reference for scaling and streamlining the transition from experimentation to full‑scale adoption.
• Participate in daily scrum meetings, grooming meetings, project status meetings, sprint planning and review meetings.
• Drive near‑term milestone planning to manage interdependencies and coordination across development teams.
• Oversee timelines, resources, and budgets for experimentation projects to ensure efficient execution and high‑quality insights within defined timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement in the experimentation process, adapting methodologies so each experiment builds on the last and delivers actionable insights that support scaling.
• Work closely with engineering, design, product, and business teams to ensure experiments align with organizational goals and customer needs; support iteration on features and incorporate feedback from experiments.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the business.
• Drive continuous innovation by identifying opportunities that improve business processes.

Reports to the Director, Applied Technology and Emerging Capabilities. This is an individual contributor.

Education: Undergraduate studies in business, human‑computer interaction, engineering, user experience, product management, design, computer science, or related fields.

Experience: Typically, 10+ years in project management or experimentation with a background in technology, product development, or innovation. Experience managing iterative experiments, pilot programs, or prototype development highly preferred. Experience with agile delivery methodologies and product management/owner principles. Requires background in both business and technology environments.

Skills:

Proven understanding of key digital technologies, existing and emerging; demonstrated knowledge of agile delivery methodologies and product owner/manager practices. Knowledge of user experience principles and practices a plus; insurance and financial services industry knowledge a plus. Strong understanding of business processes, strategy and operations across multiple domains. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
