This position is responsible for handling the shipping and receiving of inventory within the warehouse. Shipping and Receiving Associates consolidate equipment and products for outgoing shipments and inspect the quality of incoming materials. This role requires working in a team environment and demands strong organizational and communication skills to ensure that items are shipped on schedule. Associates must be able to operate a forklift to move materials throughout the warehouse and manufacturing plant.
While primarily assigned to the warehouse, they may also collaborate with other departments, such as production and quality control. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
- Photographing products and conducting quality inspections to ensure standards are met.
- Consolidate equipment/products for shipping and load trucks
- Store, issue, and organize equipment, materials, and other items from the warehouse
- Operate forklifts to move crates and pallets
- Operate radio scanners as part of warehouse management system
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- High School or GED
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of proper warehouse and inventory processes
- Ability to use inventory technology, such as radio scanners
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Communicates well with others; asks for and offers help when needed
- Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- Organized; completes work in a timely manner; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Problem-solver; gathers and analyzes information skillfully and generates suggestions for improving work
