The Retail Asset Protection (RAP) Process & Systems Specialist plays a critical role in supporting shrink reduction, safety, and security initiatives through effective process and system solutions. The Specialist is responsible for leading projects related to security infrastructure, driving system enhancements, developing training, and supporting operational teams with tools that improve compliance, efficiency, and risk mitigation. The Specialist also serves as a subject matter expert and liaison for internal and external partners, supporting enterprise-wide security and loss prevention programs.
Responsibilities- Training & Support:
- Collaborate with the RAP Process & Systems team to design, develop, and deliver training for RAP initiatives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for RAP processes and systems, ensuring proper knowledge transfer to internal stakeholders.
- Support Retail Operations leadership (Regional Managers and District Managers across all banners) in the effective use of RAP tools and systems.
- Provide system and process training to RAP team members and cross‑functional partners.
- Complete site assessments of high shrink or high safety concerns and offer solutions to protect team members, guests, and company assets.
- Security System & Vendor Management:
- Act as project manager for all construction‑related projects (NTI, Remodels, Reimages, etc.) that require CCTV or burglar alarms.
- Conduct site surveys, manage vendor proposals, and oversee installations to completion.
- Research and evaluate new security technologies for potential testing and implementation.
- Establish and manage vendor relationships to improve service delivery and reduce costs.
- Manage the burglar alarm monitoring and code database.
- Project Management & Process Improvement:
- Lead or contribute to cross‑functional projects focused on shrink reduction and safety.
- Identify and recommend improvements to RAP systems, processes, and procedures.
- Analyze and communicate data to drive informed decisions and mitigate risk.
- Develop and enhance systems to improve field visibility and security compliance.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver professional reports, documentation, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative working environment across all functions.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in security and loss prevention.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Be able to entry‑level troubleshoot CCTV and burglar alarm units to support cost savings and quicker uptime.
- Support operations in managing alarm code portals.
Internal: DVPs, Regional Managers, District Managers, Store Managers, Inventory Team Members, I.T. Cash Management, Training, Store Accounting, HR, Marketing, Risk, Corporate Facilities and Planning Departments.
External:
Local, State, and Federal Police agencies, Department of Homeland Security, Armored Car vendors, Security system vendors, and Banks
Minimum Education:
Associate’s Degree in a related field or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail/Asset Protection/Inventory/Project Management/Vendor Management.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
Minimum Experience:
3–5 years in Retail, Loss Prevention, Inventory Management, Project Management, or IT.
Preferred Experience:
5+ years in Retail, Loss Prevention, Inventory Management, Project Management, or IT.
Licenses/Certifications:
None required.

Substantial overnight travel by both car and air (50%).
Hours & Conditions40–50 hour work week remote. Occasional office work is required.
