Master Carpenter

Company Overview

We are a 38-year-old custom home builder and remodeler known for high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. We’re growing and looking to add a skilled Master Carpenter to our team.

The Master Carpenter will lead and execute high-quality residential construction and remodeling projects. This role requires strong technical skill, reliability, and the ability to work independently or with a team to deliver exceptional results.

• Perform finish and custom carpentry work on residential projects
• Interpret and build from blueprints and design plans
• Install doors, windows, trim, and cabinetry
• Build custom features such as built-ins, benches, and shelving
• Construct and install stair systems and railings
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and timeline expectations
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and team members
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site

• Proven experience in custom carpentry and residential construction
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Demonstrated expertise in:
  • Window installation
  • Trim work (baseboard, shoe, crown molding)
  • Cabinet installation (base and wall)
  • Custom woodworking (built-ins, shelving, etc.)
  • Stair building and railing installation
• Ability to lift and handle heavy materials
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Positive, solutions-focused attitude

Experience with:

• Rough framing
• Roofing
• Siding
• Basic electrical
• Basic plumbing
• Experience leading projects or mentoring junior carpenters
• Familiarity with modern tools/technology (e.g., laser levels, project apps)

• Company supplies all high level, expensive tools (saws, drills, vacuums, etc.)
• Indoor/outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Physical requirements:
  
  lifting, standing, bending, climbing
• Can transition from a carpenter role into production management or sales.
