Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented professional to manage textile quality, testing, and customer communication for military and DLA Troop Support (Clothing & Textiles) programs.
This role is ideal for someone who has direct experience producing fabrics for DLA Troop Support (Clothing & Textiles) contracts or has supported these programs directly. You will act as the bridge between our production processes and our customers, ensuring all materials meet required specifications and expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee fabric testing and quality control (shrinkage, colorfastness, shade, etc.)
- Review and ensure compliance with military specifications and DLA requirements
- Communicate directly with customers regarding approvals, issues, and timelines
- Manage lab dips, bulk approvals, and test report submissions
- Maintain documentation for compliance (including Berry Amendment where applicable)
- Serve as the main point of contact for DLA Troop Support (Clothing & Textiles) and military production programs
- Direct experience producing textiles used in DLA Troop Support (Clothing & Textiles) / DoD contracts
, OR - Experience supporting DLA Troop Support (Clothing & Textiles) programs (e.g., QA, procurement, contracting)
- Strong understanding of textile testing standards and lab processes
- Familiarity with military specifications (MIL-SPECs) and compliance requirements
- Experience with Berry Amendment sourcing and documentation
- Background in knitting, dyeing, or textile finishing processes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple programs and timelines simultaneously
- Someone who understands both technical textile quality and customer expectations
- Detail-oriented and accountable — you take ownership of outcomes
- Comfortable communicating with demanding clients and solving problems quickly
- Experience in military or government supply chains is a major plus
