Manufacturing Production, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Job Responsibilities- Gauge and maintain quality parts throughout the machining process.
- Maintain quality standards for production parts according to written quality procedures and practices.
- Maintain accurate parts counts and data integrity by clocking in and out properly on the data computer collection system.
- Mark and/or tag materials on stock items and prepare necessary paperwork for proper routing of materials.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance to cutting tools during the production process.
- Follow and adhere to company safety policies, procedures and practices. Maintain good housekeeping and a safe working environment.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentEmployees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, wet or humid conditions, airborne particles, lubricating chemicals, and heat. Noise levels are usually loud.
Physical DemandsRequirements include standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling or crouching, and talking or hearing. The employee must regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Position Type / Expected HoursThis is a full‑time position. Work days are Monday through Friday, with long hours and occasional weekend work as job duties require.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- High school diploma or GED and one year related experience or a combination of education and experience. Ability to perform arithmetic in all units of measure.
- One‑year experience with a 3‑axis or 4‑axis CNC‑controlled mill. Able to read and edit CNC programs.
- Able to read, use, and interpret blueprints, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, and vernier calipers to check and maintain work quality.
- Flexible team member with strong communication skills.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Obtain a lift operator license for a motorized pallet jack and forklift.
