Sales Application Engineer

ABCO Automation is searching for a remote/hybrid on on-site Applications Engineer. This role is responsible for developing detailed, accurately estimated costs for projects, development of quotations, concepting, and assisting in sales. Our ideal candidate would be a mechanical or electrical engineer who is looking to slide into a more conceptual and quoting role. Some of the major accountabilities would include:

• Preparing estimates by projecting the costs associated with a project or machine, with an emphasis on accuracy and ensuring profitability of projects.
• Going on customer locations and provide technical support to sales to facilitate closing of sales
• Providing documentation that will support the estimate, typically in proposal form.
• Providing an accurate description of quoted concepts and attend contract review and acceptance meetings, if appropriate.
• Generating or assists engineering with the conceptual design of a project or machine, utilizing software like Visual Components as needed.
• Communicates with customers and vendors at all levels of staff.
• learn and implement digital twin modeling utilizing software like Visual Components.
