Position
Description:
We are seeking a Systems Engineer III specializing in Video Conferencing and Video Streaming solutions to support a high-visibility federal technology program. The ideal candidate is a technical subject matter expert with strong project management, system design, and troubleshooting skills across enterprise-level unified communications environments.
This role will focus on designing, configuring, and supporting high-definition video conferencing systems
, streaming solutions
, and related network infrastructure
. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and end users to ensure seamless video and audio experiences across a distributed enterprise network.
- Design and implement complex video conferencing and streaming solutions aligned with customer requirements.
- Configure and maintain Cisco VCS Control and Expressway
, CUCM
, CMS
, and Zoom Rooms
. - Provide advanced troubleshooting for video and audio streaming issues, network routing (VLANs, multicast, IGMP), and connectivity.
- Support Telepresence Management Suite (TMS) administration and VCS/Zoom API Connector integration.
- Manage configuration, installation, and system updates for video infrastructure and endpoints.
- Collaborate with vendors and field personnel for escalations and maintenance activities.
- Assist with Change Requests, MACD (Moves, Adds, Changes, Deletes), and system upgrades.
- Support network engineering components related to Cisco ISE, Prime Infrastructure
, and Layer 2/3 connectivity. - Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of all video conferencing equipment and configurations.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance performance and reliability.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in video conferencing, streaming, and unified communications engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Four (4) additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Strong understanding of IP networking, including VLANs, multicast, routing, and QoS.
- Hands‑on experience with video/audio troubleshooting, system configuration, and integration.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet project timelines.
- Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP Collaboration, CCNA Video, or equivalent).
- Experience with Cisco ISE, Prime Infrastructure, and API integration.
- Familiarity with Netscaler, multicast routing, and network security policies.
