DescriptionPrimary Function
The Surveillance Officer is an entry‑level position within the Qualla Enterprises, LLC organizational structure and is established to carry out the daily surveillance operations. This position will ensure the safety of company assets, employees, and persons on the properties owned or operated by Qualla. The Surveillance Officer position will monitor company assets and personnel to ensure their overall safety and will be responsible for monitoring Qualla properties/locations through the use of the in‑house surveillance camera system(s).

Assistant Surveillance/Safety Manager
Pay Grade/FLSA Status: H7/Non‑exempt
Qualifications- 1 year of work experience in a Surveillance related field preferred
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
- Follow standard Surveillance policies and procedures
- Ensure the safety of customers, vendors and personnel
- Monitor Qualla properties and facilities utilizing surveillance cameras/equipment
- Review surveillance cameras to check for irregularities, violations of Qualla policies, state/local/federal/tribal law and any safety/security related issues
- Inform Security personnel through radio of any emergencies that may require immediate action or assistance
- Help to ensure the protection of company assets
- Coordinate with the proper authorities such as law enforcement, fire department or first responders needed for immediate response or attention
- Prepare incident reports/tape review requests as needed per management’s request
- Notify and coordinate with local law enforcement/emergency services in the event of a transportation emergency, fire, loss, theft and/or diversion of cannabis
- Maintain logs of operations by filing paper/electronic documents
- Provide daily reports of general Surveillance information as required
- Ensure full compliance with state, and tribal laws for reporting requirements
- Contribute to overall team efforts as needed
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area
- Ensure accuracy in all areas of daily duties
- Maintain strong working relationships with other employees of Qualla Enterprises LLC and Tribal employees.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
- Able to focus on multiple duties at the same time
- Must be detail oriented with a willingness to learn and adapt
- Must have a neat appearance with good personal hygiene
- Must have critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Must be able to be on feet for an 8‑hour shift
- Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, grasp, reach, and twist
- Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Must be able to sit/remain in a fixed location for long periods of time
- Must be able to operate machinery including but not limited to: all‑terrain vehicles (ATV), company vehicles as needed
