- Serve as maintenance support for electrical systems and robotic systems.
- Independently troubleshoot robotic cells, including mechanical, electrical, and program‑related issues.
- Modify robot programs, including positions, logic, I/O configuration, and process adjustments in alignment with manufacturing engineering.
- Perform robot backups, mastering, calibration, and system recovery.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical system faults, servo, motion, and communication faults, troubleshoot and repair components including sensors, motors, VFDs, cables, contractors, servo and motion faults, and control components as required.
- Calibrate and repair end‑of‑arm tooling (EOAT) and cell‑level interfaces.
- Support root‑cause analysis on machinery downtime and implement corrective actions.
- Support and enhance the robotic preventive maintenance (PM) strategy.
- Liaise and coordinate with third‑party contractors.
- Document work in SAP CMMS and properly utilize the shop‑floor Andon system.
- Lift up, push, pull, bend, squat, climb, stand, walk, and twist hands, work in a confined space, and maintain a forklift license.
- Travel up to 10% to equipment manufacturers and training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Advanced robotic and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Integration of robots with electrical systems, PLCs, vision systems, and other industrial equipment.
- Best practices in robotic preventive maintenance and reliability strategies.
- Cross‑functional collaboration within manufacturing operations.
- Continuous improvement methodologies applied to automation systems.
- Associate’s Degree (or equivalent demonstrated experience) in Industrial Electrical Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, or Maintenance.
- 5+ years of experience supporting automated robotic systems in manufacturing environments.
- Hands‑on experience in robot operation and programming.
- Ability to modify robot programs including positional data, logic, and I/O.
- Experience performing mastering, calibration, and system backups.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in servo systems, motion faults, and robot interfaces.
- Working knowledge of safety zones, interlocks, and robotic cell safety standards.
- Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting fundamentals.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple technical issues.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience supporting Fanuc robots and multi‑robot cells.
- Experience troubleshooting robots with PLC‑controlled systems.
- Knowledge of vision systems or advanced robotic applications.
- Experience with EOAT design, troubleshooting, or optimization.
- Familiarity with robotic simulation or offline programming tools.
- Experience supporting robotic continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
- OSHA 30 certification, Lean/Six Sigma experience.
