Job Details

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and optimize SMT manufacturing processes, including placement, reflow, and inspection
  • Develop and refine reflow profiles to ensure product quality and process stability
  • Troubleshoot process, equipment, and quality issues in real time on the production floor
  • Drive line optimization efforts to improve throughput, efficiency, and first‑pass yield
  • Analyze defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives across SMT operations
  • Support process automation and modernization efforts to enhance scalability
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges
  • Assist in validation and implementation of new equipment, materials, and processes
Required Qualifications
  • 5–10+ years of SMT process engineering experience within PCB/PCBA manufacturing
  • Strong expertise in:
    • SMT placement equipment and processes
    • Reflow soldering & thermal profiling
    • Troubleshooting SMT line issues and defects
  • Proven experience with:
    • Line optimization and process improvements
    • Yield improvement initiatives
    • Manufacturing data analysis and root cause problem solving
  • Hands‑on, floor‑based mindset with the ability to drive solutions in real time
  • Experience supporting automation and production scaling efforts
  • ITAR eligibility required; experience working in an ITAR‑regulated environment is a strong plus
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in high‑mix, low‑to‑medium volume environments
  • Exposure to AOI/X‑ray inspection systems
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams
