Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) - Unionville, CT 06085

JOB OVERVIEW

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, build retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

  • Your starting pay is $17.00 to $17.25 depending on your skills and experience.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 10 and 12 hours.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. The position has three major components:

  • Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products. You must use technology for reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys for required merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential.
  • Holiday support: During seasonal peaks (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), you may work additional days and extended hours, and possibly on the holiday itself including weekends.
  • Department resets: You may be part of a team for installations and various tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Notifications usually arrive two weeks in advance.
  • One Team Vision: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who often support each other in their territories.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    This is a physically demanding job requiring energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms. You must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. You may need to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day, and climb stairs and step ladders.

    BASIC

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • At least 18 years old.
    • Read, write, and understand English.
    • Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
    • Operates a digital handheld device to open and read documents.
    • Has access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
    • Has reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores.
