Job DescriptionWe are located at 500 Conroe Park West Dr, Conroe, TX 77303.
Our Conroe Facility produces downhole products for drilling activities in North America. The plant has high demand and operates 24/7 to produce these products for our customers. To meet the demand, we provide employees with an air‑conditioned environment, a highly organized and clean 300,000‑sq‑ft fabrication facility, new CNC machines (Mazak, Mori Sieke, DMG Mori, Weiler, etc.), and a strong safety program designed to ensure our team goes home safe to their families after every shift.

Job Requirements- Use a variety of equipment and welding processes, including but not limited to Arc, Hardfacing, Brazing and Tacking.
- Weld and hard‑face components on a weld positioner.
- Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas-metal arc welding equipment.
- Weld separately or in combination, using hard‑facing powders, rods, and other alloys.
- Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to specifications.
- Ignite torches or start power supplies and strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded, completing electrical circuits.
- Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that desired flames are obtained.
- Determine required equipment and welding methods, and welding techniques.
- Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
- Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
- Chip or grind off excess hard‑facing using hand grinders or other equipment.
- Prepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring that there is no loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter.
- Position and secure work pieces, using hoists, cranes, or hand tools.
- Preheat work pieces prior to welding using torches or heating furnaces.
- Guide and direct flames or electrodes on or across work pieces to melt or build up metal.
- Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.
- Clean or degrease parts, using wire brushes, portable grinders, or degreaser.
- Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and operations.
- Some repair expertise may be required, such as repairing bits with minor hard‑facing.
- High School diploma, minimum requirement.
- Experience with hard‑facing operations, a plus.
- Be able to follow engineering prints and specifications.
- Know proper use and care of manufacturing equipment.
- Be able to use computer as necessary to obtain specifications and prints.
- Ability to work 12 hours on your feet (with lunch and 2 breaks).
- 2+ years of experience in a machine shop/manufacturing facility is preferred.
- Experience with reading part drawings/blueprints is preferred.
