Position: Physician / Surgery - Cardiothoracic / Minnesota / Locum tenens / Locum Tenens Cardiothoracic Surgery Coverage Needed
I am working with Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN and they are looking for some locum tenens CT Surgery coverage over the next several months. Level 2 Trauma Center This facility is looking for locum tenens Cardiothoracic Surgery March 2026 ongoing

Shift times: M-F 7a-5

Weeknight and weekend call is 1:3

Call weeks include the day shift (7a-5p), the weeknight call (5p-7a), and 24-hour call on the weekend

The facility needs full-time coverage, but the following dates are of high priority:

-March 16-22-March 30-April 5-April 20-26-May 4-10

The minimum assignment length is 1-2 weeks per month, but candidates that can cover the any of the above stints will get first consideration

The group sees predominately routine cases - CABs, Valves etc.

CABs/Valves/etc: 250 Standbys:

TAVR: 200

Clips: 100

Lead extractions: 35

Candidates can also expect to see the following surgeries and procedures:

Aortic aneurysms

Aortic dissections

Atrial fibrillation surgery

Cardiac valve repair and replacement

Carotid endarterectomy

Congenital heart surgery

Coronary artery bypass surgery

Esophageal surgery (minimally invasive)
Heart failure surgery

Left ventricular assist device (LVAD) surgery

Minimally invasive and robotic heart surgery

Pacemaker

Thoracoscopic surgery

TAVR/Structural Heart Oncology Lung cases will go to another facility

No Electrophysiology cases

Ideal Candidate:
Proficient in Cardiothoracic and Vascular procedures, but they will be flexible with this in their determination
45-60 days to privilege $360 per hour with a 10-hour guarantee M-F $450 per night for weeknight call $3200 per 24-hour call on Sat/Sun $432 per hour for any hour worked over the 10 hour guarantee M-F or any hour worked while on call in the facility during weeknight or weekend 24-hour call Zach Worley Recruiting Representative The Talent Societyo. c.
