We are seeking a Senior Professional Surveyor to join our growing team in Medford, Albany, Newport, or Coos Bay, OR. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting and overseeing land surveys to determine property boundaries, topographical features, and construction layouts. This role ensures the accuracy of survey data, compliance with legal and technical standards, and supports engineering, construction, and land development projects through detailed mapping and documentation.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Conduct boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys using GPS, total stations, and digital levels
- Interpret deeds, plats, leases, and title documents to establish property boundaries
- Prepare and review legal descriptions, survey reports, maps, and easement exhibits
- Perform advanced survey computations and QA/QC of field data
- Operate and maintain survey equipment and ensure calibration and functionality
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and clients to define project scope and resolve technical issues
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal surveying regulations and standards
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to training and development initiatives
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
- 8+ years of experience with conducting and overseeing land surveys
- Professional licensure required
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and guide survey teams and provide strategic oversight
- Provide legal expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey information clearly and collaborate with project teams
- Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in analyzing survey data and preparing accurate reports and maps
- Ability to travel to various project sites, including exposure to varying weather and terrain conditions
Actual salary is based on the circumstances of each position and candidate, such as geographic location, skills, and certifications. The minimum salary for this position is $120,000 (negotiable based on the criteria presented above).
