OverviewThe Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting in the logistics of receiving, processing, storing, and shipping inventory. They ensure the warehouse operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities- Unload incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and store items appropriately.
- Organize and maintain inventory, conduct regular stock checks, and report discrepancies.
- Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately to meet customer requirements.
- Inspect products for defects or damages and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Physical ability to lift or move heavy products.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bending and stooping:
Frequent bending, stooping, and crouching to handle materials or operate equipment. - Reaching and climbing:
Ability to reach above shoulder level and occasionally climb ladders or step stools to access inventory. - Pushing and pulling:
Capability to push and pull carts, pallets, or equipment. - Manual dexterity:
Precise hand-eye coordination for tasks like packaging, operating machinery, or scanning items. - Visual and auditory acuity:
Good vision (with or without corrective lenses) to read labels, identify items, and detect hazards, as well as the ability to hear instructions in a noisy environment. - Lifting and carrying:
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, often up to 20-75 pounds, independently or with assistance. - Standing and walking:
Extended periods of standing and walking throughout the workday.
