About the Job:

Mahler Machining is seeking experienced machinists to join our tenured team. Our business is a leading high-precision component manufacturer for BC and international customers. No two days will be the same given the company's focus on low-volume complexity work from a variety of industries including deep sea submergence, aerospace, alternative energy, medical, and manufacturing OEMs. The 20,000-square-foot facility in Coquitlam, BC is equipped with 20 CNC machines including a mix of vertical mills, lathes, and 7-axis live tooling machines.

We are AS9100 and ISO 9001 certified and operate a fleet of well-maintained Mazak and Haas machines that support online (conversational Mazatrol) and offline programming. Fluency with manufacturing ERPs is a bonus as we run our business on the Pro Shop ERP system with a dual screen PC installed at all work centers. Ideal candidates can set up and operate machines while working with tight tolerances (microns to 5 thou).

Experienced machinists get the opportunity to work on challenging parts by taking a drawing to a finished component. Candidates with Mazak experience are ideal. Our team of 30+ team members have extensive experience to learn from and receive coaching from. We support our employees with internal and external training as they look to build their skills.

Responsibilities include:
  • Set up and operate CNC turning and milling machining centers.
  • Past experience working with tight tolerances (microns to 5 thou).
  • Ability to check machined parts and read technical drawings.
  • Ability to fill in detailed paperwork and record dimensions accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and machine.
  • Machine knowledge and basic maintenance capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to support other machinists.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Parts deburring and polishing.

We are seeking candidates who are self-motivated and take pride in their work. We welcome new joiners who are looking for a permanent full-time position to develop and grow their capabilities and careers. Please get in touch if you are interested.
