The Screed Operator is responsible for operating the screed on the rear of the paving machine, setting the depth and width of the asphalt as it is laid. This position ensures the ride‑ability of the finished product.

• Set the depth and width of asphalt to meet specifications.
• Shovel asphalt into holes or areas inaccessible to the paving machine.
• Provide excellent internal customer service, exceeding expectations.
• Follow all safety, compliance and environmental requirements in alignment with company standards.
• Perform related work as assigned.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety and environmental policies, promoting a safety culture.

Required

Work Experience:

A minimum of 3 years as a paving screed operator.

Required Training/

Certifications:

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

• High degree of work quality.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, lifting heavy objects, all weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation.
• High attention to detail, working under pressure.
• Meet safety requirements and applicable policies.
• Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends and irregular hours.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of PPE, including respirators with fit tests.

• Starting Pay Rate: $43.60/hr to $45.52/hr.
