Pay or shift range: $33.55 CAD to $37.28 CAD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

The Roll-Off Driver (Floater) is primarily responsible for completing routes within the Roll-Off Division. This role requires safe and efficient operation of roll-off vehicles while servicing assigned routes and maintaining a high level of customer service.
This position also functions as a cross-trained operational resource, where the successful candidate will be trained to support Front Load (FL) operations and may be assigned to perform FL duties based on operational needs, coverage requirements, or scheduling demands.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicle at the start and end of the route/shift to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Refuel and/or add required fluids such as oil or coolant as deemed necessary.
- Complete the appropriate paperwork daily, including Pre/Post Trip Inspection forms and Route Sheets accurately.
- Operate the equipment safely and efficiently while complying with all government regulations and WCS policies and procedures.
- Communicate with Dispatch/Management concerning delays, unsafe sites, incidents, breakdowns or any other maintenance issues.
- Clean the vehicle, including the interior and bulkhead.
- Organize the route sequencing and keys, remotes etc. as necessary.
Provide operational support across divisions as required, including performing Front Load (FL) duties following training

Adapt to changing operational needs and assignments, including coverage across different routes or divisions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Unrestricted Class 3 or Class 1 Driver’s License required, as our fleet includes both manual and automatic transmission trucks.
- Willingness and ability to be cross-trained in Front Load (FL) operations and perform duties across multiple divisions as required.
- Two years of experience in the waste management industry is preferred.
- Ability to work in a diverse and evolving group dynamic.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment, while maintaining a positive and respectful work atmosphere with the other employees.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision at times with the added expectation to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to climb, lift, balance, stoop, stand, walk and bend for more than 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to work in an outdoor environment.
- Must be able to reach above their shoulders.
- Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.
- 5x8, Monday to Friday (occasionally Saturday) 4:00am to 1:30pm.
- Competitive compensation: $33.55-$37.28.
