Position: COH Learning Assistant Level 1 (2026-2027 Pool)

Position Summary

This recruitment will fill thirty (30) part‑time Learning Assistant positions for the College of Health at Oregon State University. Each position allows a maximum of 20–24 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Assist instructors in College of Health courses by facilitating student group work (85% of time).
  • Prepare for facilitation by meeting with course faculty, reviewing complete course materials, and completing required training (15% of time).
Qualifications
  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study.
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements (students on academic suspension are not eligible).
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard:
    • High School student: regularly enrolled in a high school or in a home‑schooling program.
    • Undergraduate and post‑baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term.
    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term.
    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term.
    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term.
  • Must be accepted into the CORE Transitions Learning Assistant program.
Transferable Skills

Students will develop career‑readiness skills in Communication, Teamwork, and Professionalism, as defined by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
