We are currently recruiting for a Dairy Knowledge Transfer Officer to work on a hybrid basis, with two to three days from our HQ in Coventry and the remainder working remotely from home, Monday to Friday
This role plays an important part in delivering knowledge transfer and engagement activity, working closely with colleagues across engagement, communications and wider sector teams to help ensure activity is aligned, delivered effectively and provides real value to levy payers.
We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with an interest in and knowledge of the dairy sector, who can manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
About AHDBWe are the independent, impartial public body that unlocks success in British agriculture. Funded by a levy from over 100,000 British producers in the beef, lamb, pork, dairy and cereals sectors, we support and champion farmers, growers and processors, often where no one else can or will.
We share the expert, evidence-based research and reports that inform on-farm decision making. We promote British produce to the UK public through domestic marketing campaigns, and we identify and open new global export opportunities to help farm businesses grow.
We help levy payers learn more, sell more and export more to remain sustainable and profitable. Together, we deliver the insights, the influence and the impact that farmers need.
Responsibilities- Support the delivery of knowledge transfer and engagement activity across the dairy sector
- Support the creation, editing and production of high-quality resources, tools and materials for levy payers
- Coordinate and maintain digital, farmer-facing resources to ensure they are accurate and accessible
- Contribute to the planning and coordination of digital engagement activity, ensuring outputs are delivered and promoted effectively
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure activity is aligned to sector priorities and business plan objectives
- Assist in responding to levy payer queries and supporting wider engagement activity
- Work with communications and social media teams to support content development and delivery
- Support reporting, insight gathering and horizon scanning to inform future activity
- Ideally degree-level education, with an interest in agriculture and experience or exposure to the dairy sector
- The ability to plan and coordinate projects, applying good governance and working to agreed timelines
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to write, edit and proof content across multiple platforms
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables
- The ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Confidence using IT systems and producing well-formatted documentation
