Job Description
As the Sanitation Supervisor, you will be a hands‑on leader, expert and advocate who deploys, monitors and enhances sanitation programs to assure processes are effective and meet company standards. You will lead sanitation crews in coordinating CIP and manual cleaning activities, partner training, inspection and continuous process improvement efforts. This position is onsite in Logan, Utah.

- Lead plant sanitation activities and manage sanitation crews with leadership across production, maintenance, quality, and other functions.
- Deploy and ensure effective and efficient sanitation processes before resuming operation.
- Train, coach, and provide performance feedback to crew members to deliver effective sanitation practices.
- Conduct hands‑on monitoring, inspection, swabbing, and coaching.
- Maintain sanitation records and use data to improve practices.
- Administer and monitor the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Coordinate training of sanitation and janitorial partners on required job responsibilities.
- Deploy plant training modules and leverage internal resources and external expertise for partner development.
- Evaluate existing suppliers of cleaning agents and technologies with internal experts and suppliers.
- Optimize scheduling and coordination of lean but effective sanitation processes.
- Ensure a safe work environment through JHA, lock‑out/tag‑out, and MSDS training and monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans and customer requirements.
- Interpret and communicate customer requirements to plant production and support groups.
- Establish and audit PCPs, CCPs, and SOPs to define and monitor processes, ensuring customer requirements are met.
- Review incidents where procedures were not met and determine appropriate corrective action.
- High School diploma, GED, or higher education; a technical degree in Food, Dairy, Biology, Chemistry or related field is preferred.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with sanitation or quality control experience desired.
- Experience with federal or state agency audits of food manufacturing is a plus.
- Food plant sanitation certification and pest/rodent control licenses are a plus.
- Proficiency in sanitation procedures and GMP/IAB requirements within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of OSHA, FDA, and USDA food safety requirements.
- Effectiveness in teaching specific sanitation procedures.
- Strong decision‑making ability and ability to work well with limited direction.
- Interpersonal skills to develop cohesive relationships with partners who do not directly report to you.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the work time.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance (at least state minimum), acceptable driving record, and a suitable vehicle are required to meet the travel necessities of the position. Authorization to work in the United States is required; sponsorship eligibility may vary by role.
