Seasonal Route Sales Rep Vacation Relief

Overview

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Route Sales Representative (RSR) serves all grocery customers on variable routes, delivering fresh coffee daily and building relationships with store management to increase Peet’s visibility within accounts.

Seasonal position up to 90 days, based in the Columbus, OH area (vacation relief). Hourly rate $23.11/hr requires prior DSD/truck‑to‑store sales experience.

• Forecast and order weekly inventory.
• Merchandise store displays to ensure proper inventory, pricing, and date‑code rotation.
• Comply with customers’ scheduled receiving hours and policies.
• Build in‑store displays.
• Manage Point‑of‑Sale inventory.
• Solicit new accounts fitting Peet’s approved profile.
• Sell special programs to store owners and managers.
• Keep all company‑supplied equipment clean and serviced, including the RSR van, warehouse, and POS.
• Complete all required reports and paperwork.
• Travel as needed.

• Prior DSD or truck‑to‑store sales experience (required).
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Clean DMV record and insurability.
• Ability to work independently in various settings.
• Flexible work hours depending on business needs.
• Ability to travel when needed.
