Job Title:
HVACR Technical Service Advisor
Full‑time, Exempt.
Location:
IN/IL/WI/IA Area.
Reports to:
Director of Technical Services.
- Interact with manufacturers and promote product improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of field visits.
- Travel to job sites with dealers as required.
- Attend semi‑annual Technical Service Advisor meetings.
- Maintain technical literature and stay current on HVACR equipment and products.
- Continuously pursue education regarding new and changing HVACR equipment.
- Ability to travel to perform job duties.
- Proven background and experience in the HVACR field with effective troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient knowledge of electricity and heating equipment (gas and oil).
- Proficient knowledge of air conditioning, heat pumps, duct system design, ventilation, refrigeration, and Hydronics.
- Ability to accurately size and match equipment.
- Effective communication at all levels and ability to teach and provide clear instruction.
- Knowledge of R.E. Michel’s major product lines.
- Ability to maintain accurate records via paper, electronic tracking, and spreadsheets.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook/Email.
