This 28-bed inpatient unit specializes in caring for older adults—primarily patients aged 70 and above—while also serving individuals of all ages with cardiac and neurological conditions. You’ll gain experience managing a wide range of diagnoses including congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, strokes, TIAs, and seizure disorders. • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

• Deliver individualized care using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Promote patient safety by implementing risk-reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly.
• Educate patients and families, adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge.
• Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum.
• Lead and delegate effectively, fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance.
• Maintain professional growth through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities.

• Variable – primarily Day shift
• Every 3rd weekend rotation – Day shift
• Holiday rotation
