Amazon Web Services Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates Amazon’s global infrastructure. The Server Hardware Engineering team creates compute and storage server designs, working with cutting‑edge technologies to deliver high‑performance, cost‑effective solutions. As a Senior Engineer you’ll own and lead the design and development of server products, working closely with customers and cross‑functional partners to build innovative hardware that scales at Amazon’s data centers.

• Own and lead the design and development of server products, collaborating with component, firmware, test, qualification, and integration engineers.
• Architect solutions that serve customer needs and meet business goals, evaluating technical requirements and defining delivery plans.
• Lead design and manufacturing partners to bring servers to production, ensuring quality and scalability.
• Oversee post‑launch server performance, monitoring reliability, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and resolve system‑level issues, including diagnostics, reliability, and testability across software, hardware, and firmware.
• Develop diagnostic tools and monitoring solutions for production systems.
• Debug complex system failures in time‑sensitive settings.

• 5+ years of experience in design, innovation, research & development, manufacturing, or process engineering for server or related products.
• Strong knowledge of server technologies such as thermal, mechanical, power, signal integrity, high‑speed bus design, and failure analysis.
• Experience leading engineering teams or mentoring technical staff.
• Proficiency in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and test procedures.
• Experience with ODMs/manufacturers throughout product development and manufacturing lifecycle.
• Familiarity with storage/compute/accelerator platforms, PCIe topology, NVLink, NVMe, and large‑scale data‑center environments.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Problem‑solving mindset and ability to influence product roadmaps.
