We believe water is more than a resource, it’s a shared responsibility. As part of our Water Business Group, you’ll help shape how communities manage water for generations to come. From delivering safe drinking water and treating wastewater responsibly to developing sustainable water supplies and protecting lives and property through flood control, your work will support public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience.
You’ll collaborate with experts across disciplines to solve complex challenges with bold thinking and technical excellence. Whether you modernize aging systems or pioneer innovative approaches, your contributions will make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
- Work under project engineers on the application of design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state, and local municipalities.
- Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations.
- Work on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues, non‑point source loading, and point source design.
- Produce design calculations, draft technical reports, and perform water resources studies.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
- Candidates without an EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Experience with HEC‑1, HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, GEO‑RAS, and storm drain system analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of tasks.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must.
