We’re hiring 2 professionals to join the estimating team of a leading heavy civil contractor in North Dallas. You'll play a crucial role in developing competitive, well‑structured bids for high‑value transportation infrastructure projects. About the RoleYou will work across a range of complex public and private sector transportation projects. From reviewing plans and performing takeoffs to engaging subcontractors and leading bid strategies, you’ll work on meaningful civil infrastructure projects from $30M+.

Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications
- Perform quantity takeoffs, labor/equipment costing, and material pricing
- Develop accurate, detailed estimates from schematic through final CD phase
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and support post‑bid buyouts
- Prepare and analyze bid packages, subcontractor quotes, and supplier pricing
- Ensure compliance with diversity and contract requirements
- Support or lead meet‑and‑greet presentations with subcontractors and vendors
- Apply engineering principles, constructability reviews, and risk assessments
- For Senior Estimators:
Lead estimating teams and manage large multi‑disciplinary bids independently
Estimator Candidates:
- 3–5+ years of heavy civil estimating experience OR 3+ years with relevant degree
- Strong knowledge of transportation/infrastructure projects ($30M+)
- Proficient with HCSS, OST, Bluebeam or similar software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Senior Estimator Candidates:
- 8–10+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil transportation
- Extensive knowledge of self‑perform and unit price estimating
- Proven ability to lead estimating teams and interface with leadership
- Ability to analyze market conditions, pricing models, and project risks
- Comfortable with subcontractor engagement and evaluation
- Strategic mindset with a proactive, accountable work style
- Base Salary: $95,000–$140,000 (based on experience and seniority)
