Summary
The Analyst will assist in the forecasting, budgeting and analysis of Energy Transfer’s midstream operations. This candidate must thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment and work closely with our Accounting, Operations, and Commercial groups. The role requires proficiency in group discussions and presenting financial results, and assists in the preparation and presentation of annual budgets, long‑term forecasts, monthly results packages, joint‑venture forecasts, and management discussion and analysis for 10Q and 10K filings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Preparation of the annual budget.
- Prepare and update the long‑term forecast periodically throughout the year.
- Prepare and report monthly results reporting package, updating the annual forecast monthly and presenting the package to financial and commercial leadership.
- Prepare budgets and forecast information for joint venture partners, and collaborate with the FP&A team to present budgets, forecasts and quarterly analysis to joint venture board members.
- Preparation of Management Discussion and Analysis for inclusion in 10Q and 10K filings.
- Preparation of quarterly analysis reporting package presented to financial, commercial and operational leadership in preparation for the quarterly earnings call.
- Support the Midstream FP&A group in responding to requests from external joint venture partners.
- Support the Corporate FP&A group in preparing presentations to investors and rating agencies by providing actual and forecasted financial information.
To Perform This Job Successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below.
Education and Experience , Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- 2‑8+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting related functions, preferably with oil and gas related experience.
- Knowledge of financial statements.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong Excel modeling skills.
- Associate Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree, 0‑2 years relevant experience. - Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree, 2‑5 years relevant experience. - Senior Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree, 5‑8 years relevant experience. - Lead Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree, 8+ years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of the midstream natural gas industry.
- Solid time‑management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and function independently and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
