Job Summary

Works under general supervision to provide routine technical assistance in the performance of assignments requiring basic knowledge of fundamental techniques and practices related to the particular field of science.

Job Description

The Department of Biochemistry at UT Southwestern engages in vibrant interdisciplinary research at the interface of Chemistry and Biology. Research is centered on understanding how eukaryotic and bacterial cells function through mechanistic study of metabolic pathways, their catalytic enzymes, and regulatory processes. The Dr. Jinfang Wang laboratory is dedicated to elucidating the dynamic mechanisms governing cytosolic and mitochondrial translation. Quantitative models established here will help understand dysregulation of protein synthesis in human diseases and guide identification of novel therapeutic targets.
