AI Engineer (Applied/Software), Cloud Engineer - Software
InRhythm is establishing a modern software engineering practice built around an AI-driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC) methodology — spec-driven, agentic, and powered by Claude.
About the RoleAs an AI Solution Architect, you will serve as the technical and delivery authority of an elite pod focused on accelerating feature delivery for an enterprise Java, Spring Boot, and Angular platform hosted on AWS. This is not a research role. It is a hands‑on leadership position responsible for defining how AI agents integrate into the software delivery lifecycle and ensuring production‑grade quality at every stage.
Responsibilities- Own the Architecture: Define and enforce architectural standards for Java/Spring Boot services, Angular front‑end patterns, and AWS hosting that Claude must respect when generating code.
- Lead Agentic Delivery Governance: Establish human‑in‑the‑loop checkpoints, merge gate criteria, and code review standards for AI‑generated output entering the main branch.
- Design the Spec Framework: Collaborate with the AI Solution Owner to ensure feature specifications are structured for maximum Claude effectiveness, covering domain models, API contracts, and acceptance criteria.
- Drive Technical Delivery: Carry final accountability for architectural trade‑off decisions, quality gates, and technical risk escalation.
- Mentor the Pod: Set the bar for engineering excellence across AI Full Stack Engineers in code quality, security practices, test coverage, and agentic workflow discipline.
- AWS Platform Stewardship: Own cloud architecture decisions including compute, networking, IAM, CI/CD pipeline design, and SAST/DAST integration for AI‑generated code.
- Java & Spring Boot Mastery: 10+ years of production Java experience with deep knowledge of Spring Security, Spring Data, transaction management, and domain‑driven design.
- Angular Expertise: Proven ability to architect and review Angular applications including component patterns, RxJS, NgRx/state management, and module structure.
- AWS Cloud Architecture: Professional experience designing and operating production systems on AWS including CDK, Lambda, Dynamo
DB, ECS, RDS, API Gateway, Cloud Watch, X‑Ray, and IAM. - Agentic AI Delivery
Experience:
Hands‑on experience using Claude Code, Git Hub Copilot, or equivalent AI coding agents in a production software delivery context. - CI/CD & Dev Sec Ops : Experience designing pipelines with security scanning (SAST/DAST), deployment strategies, test and quality automation gates, and high‑frequency deployment cadences.
- Technical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams, conduct rigorous code reviews, and set and enforce quality standards.
- Experience pioneering AI‑assisted delivery practices in an enterprise or consultancy context.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering principles and context window management for code generation.
- Background in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, public sector) where AI governance is non‑trivial.
- Exposure to spec‑driven development methodologies such as BDD, Gherkin, or structured markdown specs.
This role aligns with InRhythm’s standard salary bands for Principal Architect. Specific compensation will be calibrated based on technical depth and experience level.
Equal Opportunity StatementAt InRhythm, we are more than technical executors. As a member of the AI‑DLC practice, every consultant is expected to demonstrate:
- Strategic Thinking: The ability to see the business impact behind every architectural decision and every agentic workflow.
- Clarity and Ownership: Taking full responsibility for outcomes and communicating technical trade‑offs with transparency.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Building trust with client counterparts and ensuring technical decisions align with business goals.
- Bias to Measurable Outcomes: A relentless focus on delivering high‑quality, high‑velocity results that demonstrate the value of agentic delivery.
